PROGRAM OUTTING 2008
Went to the Peoria Center for the Arts to watch the Dress Rehearsal for the Wizard of Oz. One performer was the grandaugter of Cookie Coleman who came to our program in 2003.

SPRING TRAINING 2010 / CHICAGO CUBS
We raise funds many ways, one way is by working for the Chicago Cubs during their Spring Training. This was a awesome group of women & volunteers. We worked a very high pace stand and each game they gave very quick, professional service.
We like to take time to acknowledge the women & volunteers after a big fund raiser. This night was a Thank You for Spring Training & Program Award Dinner at the Golden Corral. 4-2010
OUR SEDONA RETREAT / SLIDE ROCK LODGE
Our lives were blessed to meet these two angels with no wings. Joann & Andy Cuellar. They have provided us more than once with an opportunity anyone would like and that is a few days stay on Oak Creek Canyon. This couple has a Spirit of Hospitality that is very rare.

Even though we get to hike and swim, it even more wonderful just to do some reflecting on one's life, and how good it can be.
Before returning to the valley we made lunch for our hosts, and tried out our Mexican Hot Dog for the first time, idea came from our cook.
This is a BEAUTIFUL PLACE!
Leaving this place is a very hard thing to do.

All of the Outtings & Retreats play a very important role in our program.
It's much more fun to Enjoy your Life, than to Destroy your Life. This is what we try to share at Sand Dollar.
AWARD / PICNIC DINNER 2011
During their stay we have award dinners to acknowledge the women for different goals that they have achieved, as well as class completion certificates. The women work very hard inside and out to make the changes that they have in their lives. So we like to get out and give each other a shout out for a job well done.
Plenty of food, we all chipped in.
We like to let our inner child out and play Stomp the Balloon. The last one with a balloon wins! Everyone is sizing each other up, all are feelin Lucky.
What we do best is have fun.
Then they picked teams to PLAY.............
WHO CAN WHISTLE FIRST! It's a relay game, you have to chew two saltine crackers and the first to whistles runs back to their team. The first team that has all players over the finish line first wins.
This outting is also about acknowledging these women for jobs well done.
There is always time for class, what a nice place to have it.

We have been blessed over the years by one of our women Cookie Coleman and her long time friend and Referee for the Harlem Globetrotters, Berry Terry to get donated tickets to the game

The Ref is Berry Terry. He has been a blessing to us to be able to provide such a great time.
